This sweeping epic set in Holland during World War II is an unforgettable mini-series comprised of 10 x 45 minute episodes.

The series was actually filmed throughout Europe in locations such as Holland, Belgium, France, the Czech Republic and the UK.

The story begins in Holland centers around Vera and Hans, who have been dating for several years. The Nazi invasion tears them apart. Vera is Jewish and Hans is part Dutch, part German. Vera’s family is taken away by the Germans but Vera is able to escape. She becomes a member of an underground group of freedom fighters led by Piet.

Hans is drafted into the German army and sent to fight.

While Vera, Piet and the group plot to overthrow the German SS officer, Kurtz, Hans never gives up his goal to escape from the army, find Vera and join the underground. After being sentence to jail, Hans is finally able to be free and he returns to Holland to join Piet’s group. The members of the underground don’t really trust him, but when Hans uncovers a traitor in their group, they find themselves fighting for their lives.

The final episode takes place 60 years later, when all of the secrets of the past come to light.

The evils of war bring out the worst and the best in people caught up in its path. The characters in IN THE LINE OF FIRE are part of the victims, the villains and the heroes of their time.
